Urban Supermarket / Gourmet GrocerThis project upgraded and expanded an existing two-story supermarket in a high-rise, mixed-use development. Contemporary European-styled and manufactured fixtures and equipment provided an entirely different urban shopping experience. Twelve weeks had been allowed for installation and construction to be completed. The existing facility was already successful, which indirectly compounded the project challenges. The Client recognized that an enhanced presentation for its customers would lead to higher traffic and sales volumes, but they also knew that closing the store would frustrate the existing customers' shopping patterns. These concerns drove the decision to keep the store open while this overhaul was completed. |
