The proposed layout of the store had located a new restroom in an area where the gravity fed sanitary line would need to go thru 2 large concrete beams in the landlords parking lot beneath the store.
Preliminary investigations had defined the location, construction and size of the concrete beams.

WJCA and its consultants reviewed the data provided and based on past experiences decided that due to the required pipe slope and the need to x-ray the beam and locate imbedded steel rebar the chances of this being a successful solution would be very small.
Upon further review the team came up with another, more cost effective solution. The team decided that installing a macerating water closet tank pump in the restroom and pump waste up and over to an existing service sink waste line located in the store would be a much more economical and simpler solution.
To confirm code compliance the team developed a preliminary diagram that was sent via email to the local plumbing inspectors for their review. Within about 30 minutes of submission the local municipality confirmed our proposed diagram.

WJCA and its consultants were able to quickly provide a valid solution that was code compliant, economical and acceptable to all stake holders.
